New Delhi: Shri Krishna Janmashtami is the day of celebration and immense happiness as the lord is welcomed home. It is also known as Krishnashtami, Saatam Aatham, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti, and Sree Jayanti. It is the day when Shri Krishna was born, as the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Interestingly, this year Janmashtami falls on August 25, and to much amazement and co-incidence of sorts, the date, timings, month and arrangement of Chandrama placing in the chart is similar to the actual day when the Lord was born 5000 years ago.

Yes! The same arrangement of stars and timings was back then too. Therefore, this year Krishna Janmashtami is extra special and immensely important.

It is believed that Lord Krishna was born on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksha during the Bhadrapad month in the Rohini Nakshatra, as per Hindu calendar. Not many are aware of this interesting fact that this same coincidence took place in 1958 as well.

Many believe that helping the poor and needy on this day and any charity done would be of absolute significance. Those who help others will get blessings from the lord and prosper in life.

Therefore, get ready to welcomed the Ladoo Gopal this year and immerse yourself in Krishna Bhakti!
