Los Angeles: Dustin Diamond was released from jail after posting USD 10,000 bail. An hour later, he appeared in Ozaukee County Courthouse for a status hearing along with his fiancee Amanda Schutz and his lawyer Thomas Alberti.

"Dustin doesn't feel like he is being wronged," Alberti said. "He gets that when something like this happens, the police get involved and the court figures it out. He says the Port Washington police have been nothing but exemplary. He gets it. He knows there is a process in this country and in the end he will be exonerated," Alberti added.

During the hearing, Alberti requested the judge reduce his client's bail because he did not have criminal history and he acted in self defense.

"The State is in possession of photographs and/or Police Officer statements that may reasonably conclude that Amanda Schutz had been punched in the face and forcibly held by more than one adult male," Alberti said in a motion he filed earlier this week. Diamond's next court hearing is set for January 5, 2015.
