Mumbai: It was earlier being reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be hosting the Filmfare Awards event this year. But latest buzz suggests that his dear friend and contemporary - Salman Khan - has been roped in as the host for the starry ceremony.
According to a report in India.com, Salman has been paid a whopping Rs 2.5 crore to host the two-hour long event!
Shah Rukh is best known for his oratory skills and has done magnificently well as a host at awards ceremony in the past. The Badshah’s wit and timing have impressed many but it seems as if Salman’s persona and his uncanny style of presenting a show have gained more popularity.
Salman has been hosting popular TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ for six years now and has gained exceptional response from the audiences.
However, there has been no confirmation regarding the change of host for the show.
