`Virgin` word dropped from `Finding Fanny`

Zee Media Bureau/Ritika Handoo New Delhi: The filmmakers and Censor Board have often stood at loggerheads with each other, whenever there exists a conflict of creative thoughts between the two.

This time, as it is the Board is facing a lot of flak over alleged bribery accusations on the CEO Rakesh Kumar.

However, the filmmaker who has been affected the most is `Finding Fanny` director Homi Adjania.

According to latest reports, the Censor Board it seems has raised its objection to a dialogue spoken by Deepika Padukone in the film, where she is seen saying, “I am a virgin”. This is however not the first time that the word `virgin` has been used in a film, several Bollywood films have seen actors using it in their lines.

Also, more recently actors Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor were seen speaking about their virginity in Karan Johar`s popular chat show `Koffee With Karan`. `Finding Fanny` has now reportedly been cleared in English with a U/A certificate. Earlier, it was reported that première of the movie which was scheduled for August 25 got postponed to September—all thanks to the delay by the the censor board`s awaited approval for the film. `Finding Fanny` stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Panjaj Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. The film is expected to hit the theatres on September 12, 2014.
