New Delhi: Google Zeigest 2013 has brought forth a revelation that would probably not surprise many.
The top search world over showed that Nelson Mandela or Madiba was most popular.
While in India, Politician Narendra Modi and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar are popular; Bollywood rules the roost here. Katrina Kaif , Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan are the most popular female actors searched for in India, while ‘ Chennai Express’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’ were in the top five trending topics.
Ranbir Kapoor joined the ranks of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the most popular actor list in the popular search engine, even though only one of his movies ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani’ did well at the Box Office.
Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ also made sure that the Indian athlete Milkha Singh became one of the top three searched popular sports persons.
The Google trends in 2013 clearly show what India loves the most – Bollywood. Let’s hope that the dream land of the Indian film industry continues to fill imaginations in the country and beyond!
