Mumbai: After Spiderman, Batman, here comes our ‘desi’ stoneman! According to latest news, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a stoneman in ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’. The chocolaty actor has been `stoned` in the film, which also stars ‘sexiest woman’ Katrina Kaif. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film shows some interesting sequences in which, Ranbir will be seen as a statue and one day he will find out that the statue looks exactly like him!
Santoshi said to a news daily, "When I explained to Ranbir the scenes, he was extremely enthusiastic about turning into a statue. Even though the entire process of becoming one was tedious and painful. Once in make-up, Ranbir could only stand, there was no way he could even sit, forget lying down for those long hours. He had to keep on standing till all the shots were canned. Yet, he went through the paces with great zest."
The make-up was done by artist Vikram Gaikwad to give the perfect stone look to Ranbir and it would take him four hours for the process. According to a unit source, "After the grueling shoot, all that Ranbir could think was to move around. The freedom to move around after having stood like a stone at one place put him on a different high."
Well, Ranbir as stone-faced? That’s something one would really look out for.
