A film's failure does not demotivate me: Lisa Haydon

New Delhi: For Lisa Haydon, a movie's success or failure is a redundant discussion and the actress says she seldom gets disappointed when her films don't work at the box office.

The 29-year-old actress received plaudits for her performance in 2014 film "Queen". But her last film "The Shaukeens" did not taste similar success.

Lisa said she believes in enjoying her work and does not think about what its outcome would be.

"I don't expect anything. I am not really that kind of a person. I do my work. I have fun. I don't get disappointed or demontivated when films don't do well. There is way too much more to life," Lisa told PTI.

The actress said since the film industry is so unpredictable, an actor cannot work with the mindset that he or she will only work in projects which will be a hit.

"When I meet people who have good energy, I like working with them. The project could be good or a flop. There is no guarantee in this business. But there is nothing like working with good people," she said.

The actress will begin shooting Sajid Nadiadwala's upcoming production "Housefull 3" from August 27, followed by Milan Luthria's "Baadshaho", which goes on floor from October 10.

When asked if she prefers working in big-budget projects or starring in content-driven film, Lisa said, "Honestly, I don't think about it too much. If I like a project I take it up. If I like the people I am working with, I say yes.

"I met Sajid at an awards ceremony this year and we got chatting. He is a great human being. Later, he approached me for 'Housefull 3'. That is how it works for me," she added.

Besides her film commitments, Lisa is seen multi-tasking these days. She hosts and serves as a mentor on a fashion reality show on the small-screen. The former model also jazzed up the ramp for designer Tarun Tahiliani's show recently in the capital.

"I have always enjoyed juggling. I do things as they come up. I also like to take time off and live my life a little more peacefully. Right now the TV show is on air but the rest of the year will be dedicated to the films," Lisa said.

Talking about her experience on the ramp as an actress and showstopper, Lisa said just like her modelling days, even now she models the garment and does not like to do any pretentious act.

"When I am the showstopper, I don't like to be pretentious and think I am an actress and I am walking the ramp as a show-stopper. I just try and model the garment. It is not about me, it is about the garment at the end of the day," she said.
