Amy Adams wants daughter to have self-confidence

Los Angeles: Actress Amy Adams hopes her three-year-old daughter, Aviana Olea Le Gallo, will have a "strong sense of self" when she grows up.

The 39-year-old`s desire comes from the fact that she didn`t visit New York City until she was 24 and spent much of her younger years moving from one place to another since her father, Richard Kent, was a military man, reports contactmusic.com.

"Everything was new to me as an adult. Everything was mine. I owned everything that I did. Very few things were because of my upbringing ... so I have a real strong sense of self and a sense of accomplishment, and I want my daughter to have that," British Vanity Fair magazine quoted Adams as saying.

Adams and her fiance Darren Le Gallo welcomed Aviana in 2010.
