Mumbai: Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, among others have wished their fans a happy and auspicious Navratri.
The stars took to Twitter to send their best wishes on the nine-day festival of Goddess Durga.' "Happy Navratri.. The shraad period is over and now time to celebrate 9 days of gaiety and dance," tweeted Bachchan.
'24' star Anil asked the twitterati to enjoy dandiya, the featured dance of Navratri. "May this nine nights of Navaratri bring grace, joy and fun. Let the prayers be sung and dandiya be done. Wish you all a Happy Navaratri!!" he wrote on his Twitter page.
Actress Mallika Sherawat wrote, "Happy Navratri tweethearts" and singer-actress Sophie Choudry wished for health and prosperity for all.
"Happy Navratri to you all! Wish you happiness, health & prosperity! Sing, dance & celebrate! God bless!" she tweeted.
Playback singer Sonu Nigam said, "Navratri ki shubhkaamnaayein... Lots of prayers and auspiciousness..."
Actress Tanisha Mukerji, who celebrates Durga Puja with her mother Tanuja and sister Kajol every year, tweeted, "Have a wonderful Navratri! May Maa Durga bless us all!"
TV actor Rohit Roy prayed Goddess Durga to protect everyone. "May maa Dugga protect and bless you all.. Navratri ki shubkamnayen aap sabhi ko.." he tweeted.
