London: Soccer star Ashley Cole’s wife/singer Cheryl has visited South Africa ahead of this year’s soccer World Cup.
Meanwhile, WAGs reportedly flocked the Girls Aloud star to know about the party zones in the country.
“Cheryl has been to South Africa before and loved it. She wanted to treat her mum to a New Year break,” a news daily quoted a source as saying.
The insider added, “Ashley would have loved to have joined them, but he had club commitments. They’ve been speaking and texting every day and they’re both pining for each other.
“Ashley told her to have a wonderful break and get away from it all after her hard work – and success – on X Factor. But when the other Wags found out Cheryl was jetting to SA, they asked her to check out the designer boutiques and best restaurants.
“They’ve been joking they want her to give them the low-down on where to party, and where to be seen. As the most popular woman in the country right now, the other wives and girlfriends all view Cheryl as Queen Bee.
“It has to be said though, Cheryl’s main priority isn’t the shops – she’s after some sunshine and a spot of pampering. Still, if it’s for a good cause, she’ll do her best to hit a few boutiques!
“And after the hectic year she’s had, she certainly deserves to treat herself.”
