New Delhi: Union Minister for Railways, Suresh Prabhu, displayed the wittier side of his personality as he read out the 2015 Rail Budget speech on Thursday.
As the minister began addressing parliamentarians in the Lok Sabha, he tickled their funny bone as he punned his own name.
He said, “Our priority is to improve the capacity in the high density section. But I thought, hey Prabhu (in this context: Oh God!), how will it happen?”
The minister further announced that lower berths in train would be reserved for senior citizens like him.
In totality, the minister’s way of Budget presentation was impromptu as he made even members from the opposition burst into laughter.
