Mumbai: Legendary singer Asha Bhonsle, who has crooned numerous numbers for yesteryears` dancing diva Helen, says the latter used to send chocolates for every number she liked.
"Helen-ji used to call me before a recording and say `Asha-ji mein gaa rahi hoon. Pyaar se gaayega`. Wonderful, elegant lady," Asha posted on her Twitter homepage.
"If she particularly liked a song, Helen-ji used to send me chocolates. (I) never asked her if she actually ate chocolates. Must ask her," she added.
The 76-year-old has voiced numerous cabaret numbers for Helen like "Piya tu ab to aaja", "O haseena zulfoon wali" and "Yeh mera dil".
