John Abraham joins campaign to support acid attack victims

New Delhi: John Abraham has joined hands with a radio station`s campaign ` Fever Voice of Change` and met acid attack survivors who will be rehabilitated under one of the campaigns called ` Mission Tezaab `, in New Delhi.

Speaking at the event, the `Madras Cafe` star said, "The political leaders should know that they are public figures and their statements make a huge difference", adding that they should be extremely careful before making any statement on women safety as they have great influence on the society.

"It`s very important to respect a woman, but we men tend to forget that. So, it is very important that parents should teach their sons to be courteous towards them. The way a father treats his wife, his son also follows the same", he added.

The `Dostana` actor plans to use the power of media to reach out to the concerned authorities and in order to get a closure to problems plaguing the society.
