New Delhi: Popular Kannada television actress Shruthi committed suicide after a fight with her friend, reportedly. According to The New Indian Express, the TV star hanged herself at her friend’s place in Kachohalli near Madanayakanahalli in Nelamangala taluk on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old was married to a businessman named Umesh and stayed with him in Harohalli on Kanakapura Road. The report states that as per the police, Shruthi had gone to her friend Shrikanth’s house for a party. At the party, Shruthi reportedly had a tiff with Shrikanth over some issue. Upset, she locked herself up in a room where she hung herself from the ceiling.
The two had been friends for years, reportedly. The police has sent the body for autopsy, the report suggests.
Also, Umesh has filed a against Shruthi's friend Shrikanth on charges of abetting Shruthi’s suicide. Shrikanth has been arrested and further investigations are still on.
