Mumbai, April 06: Beaming over her outstanding feat; Pooja Chopra, the newly crowned Miss India World can’t stop counting her blessings and thanking the ones who made her fairytale come true. Gushing with pride, the 23-year-old lissome beauty, thanked her mother with tearful eyes as she gracefully carried the much-eyed tiara.
With a smile that can launch a thousands ships and an hourglass figure sculpted to perfection, the young lass was an instant hit with the crowd and the judges. A perfect combination of beauty and brains, the sassy beauty won much applaud for her spontaneous heartfelt replies.
Standing tall and gleaming with pride, the soft-spoken poised beauty coyly thanked her mother. Speaking to reporters, She said, "I would not have achieved this without the support of my mother. I have been raised by a single mother. My mom has helped me achieve all my dreams. This is as big a crown and victory for her, as it’s for me."
Recognising talent early, the judges did have an eye for Pooja right from the start of the competition, but the answer that was her answer to one common question asked to all the finalists that did the trick. The question was -- "What was the one thing you would ask God if you met him, and why? ", to which Pooja had replied, " I would ask why certain children were deprived of the love of a mother".
An immediate hit with the jury, the answer bagged her the prestigious title. Done with the celebrated home pageant, Chopra isn’t sitting back on her present glory. The stunner has already set her sights higher and is looking forward to bringing home international acclaims.
