New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving his jail term in Pune's Yarwada jail has finally got a pay hike. The actor will now be paid Rs 15 more for his allotted daily task of making paper bags in the jail.
According to reports, Sanju Baba has got a hike of Rs 15 and will now earn around Rs 40-45 every day. His earlier pay was Rs 25 per day.
The actor has been given the task of making high quality paper bags that can carry upto 8 kgs of weight.
The decision was reportedly taken after the Maharashtra government made an increase in the prisoners' wages following a similar hike in prisons of Gujarat and Karnataka. The wages were reportedly revised last month.
Sanjay Dutt is serving his remaining 42-month-jail-term by the Supreme Court for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. The actor had spent 18 months in jail earlier.
