New Delhi: Bollywood beauty Madhuri Dixit was appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for her participation in the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign' that was launched in Panipat, Haryana Thursday.
Madhuri turned up for the launch despite her mother's illness. This gesture of the actress and her commitment towards the initiative was applauded by our Prime Minister.

Government's ambitious 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme' aims to improve the child sex ratio (CSR).
The issue of decline in CSR is complex and the scheme will address the issue within the broad framework of survival, protection and education of girl children.
