New Delhi: May 6, 2015 indeed is a black day for Bollywood and B-Town lovers as their favourite Salman Khan has been sentenced to 5 years in jail in the 2002 hit-and run case.

The crucial verdict pending since 13 years pronounced Wednesday by Judge JW Deshpande has not only rattled the industry but has deeply affected Salman and his family.

Salman's family - who stood as pillar of strength in the moment of crisis - have been shattered by the verdict. While the superstar broke down and remained motionless when he was pronounced guilty, his mother Salma's health went down back home.

Brother Sohail Khan, who was also present in the courtroom, left immediately teary eyed after the verdict came. Arbaaz Khan, too was there  in the courtroom to support his brother. Sister Alvira was present in the court room as the hard-hitting verdict was pronounced.

Now, Bombay High Court's decision will be the only relief for the actor and his family. Salman Khan's lawyer and sister have reached the Bombay HC to appeal for bail.
Bombay HC will hear Salman's bail plea today.

Experts say that Salman Khan's bail application may be referred to the vacation bench in case the Bombay High Court goes on break for summer vacations.
