New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have one of the longest standing friendships in Bollywood. The two got into a tiff a few years ago when King Khan slapped Farah's husband, Shirish Kunder during a controversial scuffle at a late night party.

But obviously all is well with the two as everyone is looking forward to the duo's next venture together 'Happy New Year'. The movie which is set to release in October has an ensemble cast and the expectations are palpable.

In a recent interview to a leading daily the choreographer turned director said that even after one and a half year of not speaking to one another SRK and she picked up from right where they had left off.

Farah also stated that their friendship has lasted because of the mutual respect that the two have for one another. She said that the King Khan respects her opinion and does not take her to be a 'Chamcha'. The director has been all praises for Shah Rukh as a producer and has finally wrapped up the shoot for the movie which will hit the silver screen on Diwali.

'Happy New Year' also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Jackie Shroff.

The trailer for the movie has created quite a buzz and the romantic song 'Manwa Lage' has garnered over one million hits on Youtube in under 24 hours.

Seems like the audience is showering its love on the movie and their friendship is here to stay – if not for anything else but for the fans.
