New Delhi: Meet the new Mr and Mrs Kapoor in B-Town—Shahid and Mira. The newly-wed couple stunned everyone with their classy and elegant choice of clothing on their D-day. The groom looked dashing in his white sherwani-churidaar while the bride outshined all in in a Anamika Khanna-designed pink lehenga while greeting the media.
The duo, who kept their wedding a hush-hush affair are ready for a lavish reception dinner for around 500 guests tonight at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, reportedly. Also, a grand party for the Bollywood biggies will be held in Mumbai on July 12.
Shahid and Mira solemnised their wedding in a simple Gurudwara style amid presence of members of Radha Soami Satsang Bease group in the morning. It was a traditional Punjabi wedding attended by close family and friends at a farm house on the outskirts of the national capital.
Earlier in the day, Shahid chose designer friend Kunal Rawal's white kurta-pyjama and a colourful safa (turban) while Mira wore a green and pink salwar-kurta with a heavily embellished dupatta wrapped around her head. It was this look that the wedding rituals took place.
Shahid waved the maddening paparazzi off with a shy smile after their photo-op.
