New Delhi: In one of the most shocking incidents to have taken place 'live' in a show was perhaps the suicide act of American television news anchor Christine Chubbuck in 1974. The tragic news not only shocked but also saddened everyone, as she was battling depression.

According to a report in Daily Mail, a film has been made based on the untoward incident tracking what actually led to this act of hers. The lead role has been played by British actress Rebecca Hall.

The report further states that the film is titled as 'Christine' and was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival recently. Chubbuck killed herself while reading the news in July 1974; she was just 29. In a coincidence of sorts, a documentary on the life of the TV news anchor was also released this year.
