Mumbai: Twinkle Khanna had made rare appearance on TV last Sunday along with her husband Akshay Kumar. The duo was invited by Karan Johar for ‘Koffee With Karan’. We know that Twinkle is always politically incorrect and she displayed a slice of her personality by revealing some uncomfortable facts.
Twinkle, who had no intension of marrying Akki wanted to date him just for fifteen days but destiny had a different plan. When the two finally decided to take the marital plunge, Akshay approached Twinkle’s mother Dimple Kapadia to seek her daughter’s hand for marriage.
Unfortunately, Dimple wasn’t keen to get her daughter married to Akki. Dimple said to Twinkle, “your friend Sanmit, who is doing some piece on a gay newspaper, says that Akshay is gay.” Twinkle said that she almost fainted on hearing this. Dimple hadn’t agreed initially but after being convinced, approved her request only on one condition that the duo would live in for a year.
So Twinkle and Akshay stayed together for a year before exchanging marital vows after mommy Dimple’s approval.
