New Delhi: Varun Dhawan would miss out on the big extravaganza of IPL opening ceremony due to his 'Dilwale' shoot. He said that he would have loved to perform but date issues are keeping him away.
There were rumours that surfaces that Dhawan may have been roped in for the fest. But the actor clarified on Twitter:
I will be shooting for #Dilwale in goa so won't be able to be part of the #ipl this year wanted to clarify as I read some false articles

The actor made the world sit up and take note with his great performance in 'Badlapur'. Dhawan is now set to appear in Rohit Shetty's next big release. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are also playing lead roles in the movie.

The movie is scheduled to release around Christmas in 2015.
