Mumbai: Many were seemingly upset with Sachin Tendulkar’a retirement announcement a few days back and since then the nation was riding high on nostalgia. But India’s comprehensive victory over the Australian cricket team Wednesday made cricket fans jump in joy and celebrate the overwhelming win.
One such fan, who thoroughly enjoyed team India’s thumping performance is none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
The legendary actor who has not been keeping well since the last few days took to Twitter to express his happiness. He wrote, “T 1190 -Amidst the pain, there is Cricket .. a resounding defeat by India to the Aussies ... 360 to make and we did it with 9 wicket win !”
Team India pulled off an incredible nine-wicket victory over Australia in the second cricket one-dayer at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, achieving the second highest ever run chase in ODI history in what turned out to be a high scoring contest.
Virat Kohli ripped apart the decent Aussie bowling and scored a tonne in just 52 balls.
