Form a base:
Before you jump into applying makeup – let your client follow a thorough Cleansing, Toning, Exfoliating, Moisturizing and Priming (CTEMP) ritual. For this, start washing your face with a mild cleanser and follow-up by applying a pore-minimizing toner to provide long-lastingness to the makeup. Alongside, exfoliate your skin to make way for a flawlessly done makeup and continue by moisturizing with a gel-based moisturizer for lush glow on your face. The last step is to prime with a silicone-based primer to fill-in the pits of the skin and let your skin ready for a celeb-like makeup.
Consult your client:
Right before starting the makeup, make sure that you have ample time in your kitty. This time should be utilized for making your client comfortable with you and her own skin-tone. In India – there is a lack of awareness and hence, everyone wants to look extremely fair regardless of their original skin-tone (dusky/dark). This is why, most women end-up looking chalky – so advice all your clients to learn to embrace their skin-tone and implement their makeup accordingly. Blending is the key for any makeup – be it blushing, bronzing or applying shadow. So, make sure to blend your product well on the face your client to make it rather look like her second skin itself. Also, remember to implement it using a clean brush only, for a awesome, fresh finish of your base. Similarly, apply the cream product first and follow up with the powder one for an ultra-intensified look.
