New Delhi: Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she took the role in the film ` American Hustle ` because she found out that she was being cast opposite Christian Bale.
According to Universal Pictures India, the 23-year-old actress said that she had to play the role of a manic-depressive alcoholic, and she couldn`t wait to play it, besides she also got to make out with Bale.
Lawrence was initially supposed to take a break between films `Catching Fire` and `X-Men`, till director David O Russell asked her to play the role of Christian Bale`s wife.
