Mumbai: ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows on Indian TV and Kapil Sharma the undisputed king of comedy.
The show with its unique format and characters has won hearts of millions of viewers and has thus become a super-hit.
The recent news of Sunil Grover aka Gutthi quitting the popular show has come as a rude shock.
The exact reason for his departure from the show is yet to be disclosed but if the latest rumours are anything to by then Grover and Sharma are believed to have a rift between them. Kapil Sharma as Bittu is immensely admired and Gutthi had equally emerged as a lovable character, someone who could sweep audiences of their feet.
It is also being speculated that Grover was approached by a rival channel.
However, the popular belief is that the actor demanded a hike in his fee and the makers of the show were not in a position to accommodate his demand.
