London: BBC's 2015drama series 'Poldark' is being considered as the next ' Downton Abbey' after its premiere in the US.
Irish actor Aidan Turner, who portrays the role of Captain RossPoldark, has been the unquestionable water-cooler hit of British television this year, the BBC reported.
Turner's field bare-chested scene has already become the talk of the town.
The BBC's adaptation of Winston Graham's 18th Century Cornish saga hits American screens on June 21, 2015.
