Los Angeles: Actor Matthew Goode will not return to "The Good Wife" when it comes back, leaving the series to say goodbye to another key cast member.

Prosecutor Finn Polmar is not expected to appear regularly in season seven, having turned down Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) job offer in this month's finale, reported E! online.

The door remains open for Goode to make guest appearances in "The Good Wife" in the future.

Goode, 37, signed on for the CBS drama series following the departure of Josh Charles in season five.

Archie Panjabi, who played private investigator Kalinda Sharma, left the series at the end of season six to develop other projects.

It later emerged that Panjabi and Julianna Margulies shot their final scene together without actually being in the same place at the same time.
