Al Pacino reveals was almost fired from 'The Godfather'

Washington: Al Pacino has recently revealed that there was a time when he was almost fired from 1972's 'The Godfather'.

The American veteran actor said in an interview that the team of his iconic film was about to fire him just after first few weeks when he started shooting as they didn't like the way he was portraying the character, ABC News reported.

The 74-year-old actor, who went on to portray the mob boss in the rest of the 'Godfather' trilogy, added that when they saw the final footage he shot with innocence in a crazy way, they liked it and decided to keep the actor.

Pacino added that he wouldn't have stayed in the movie for so long if it wouldn't be by the director Francis Ford Coppola as he helped and supported the actor a lot in bringing out the best of him.
