Washington: Angelina Jolie will be taking the director's chair again for an adaptation of another inspiring memoir from Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung, and her son Maddox will work with her.

In a statement, the Oscar winning actress, who last directed 'Unbroken' said that she was deeply affected by Loung's book 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers', adding that it had enhanced her understanding about how children experienced the war and were emotionally affected by its memory, the People Magazine reported.

The 'Maleficent' star further added that Loung's book, which will be released in both Khmer and English, had helped her draw closer to the people of her homeland, Cambodia.

The 40-years- old actress, who would produce the project, said that it was dream come true for her to adapt this book for the screen and was honored to work with Loung and filmmaker Rithy Panh.

It is being speculated that Jolie and Brad Pitt's eldest son, Maddox, 13, will be involved in the production.
