Los Angeles: Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger has showcased his tender side and has written a touching note a "Terminator" fan and his ailing father.

The 67-year-old actor took to Reddit to pen his thoughts, reported Ace Showbiz. "Wow. I'm in Korea on a whirlwind tour but you stopped me in my tracks. This is so touching. Thank you for sharing. I'd like to say 'this is why I do this' but you should know it was you who made your father smile. It was your presence and caring. Happy birthday, you've got a lot of wisdom for 30 years," the former Governor of California wrote.

Schwarzenegger also posted a handwritten note for the father.

"I am honoured that my silly smile in Terminator made you smile, but I hope you find real joy and strength in what a wonderful child you have brought into the world and raised," so the message read. The actor signed the letter with a heart and his name.

Schwarzenegger wrote the heartwarming note after he found the fan's letter saying he made his ailing father smile for the first time in a couple of months after watching the latest installment of the science-action movie, "Terminator Genisys".
