Los Angeles: Stephen King's horror story "In the Tall Grass" is going to be a movie.
Director Vincenzo Natali will direct and write the screenplay of the film based on the novella written by King and his son Joe Hill which first appeared as a story in Esquire, reported Ace Showbiz.
Toronto-based Copperheart Entertainment's Steve Hoban will serve as producer while Gloria Fan is the executive producer.
Paradigm will represent US rights to the project. Principal photography is scheduled for September in Toronto.
"In the Tall Grass" centers on a young man and his pregnant sister on a road trip who end up fighting for their lives in a field after they respond to a boy's cries for help."
Natali is known for directing horror films like 1997's "Cube" and 2013's "Haunter". He also directed some horror series like "Hannibal", "Darknet" and "Hemlock Grove".
