Washington: Gina Carano has joined the cast of 'Kickboxer,' which is a Radar Pictures' remake of the 1989 martial art movie.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 32-year-old actress will portray a fight promoter, alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dave Bautista and Alain Moussi in the movie, which will be directed by John Stockwell.

The story follows Kurt Sloane (Alain Moussi), a gifted martial artist who travels to Thailand where he must learn kickboxing secrets to avenge the death of his brother. Dave Bautista is playing the villainous Tong Po, who killed Kurt's brother.

The cast also includes Georges St. Pierre, Scott Adkins and Sara Malakul Lane, who is playing Kurt's love interest.

Mike Weber and Peter Meyer will executive produce along with Brian O'Shea, Nat McCormick and Jeff Bowler and Ted Field of Radar Films, Dimitri Logothetis and Nick Celozzi are producers.
