Jack Huston may play 'Ben-Hur' in remake

Washington: Jack Huston is in negotiations to play lead in Paramount and MGM's remake of 1959 film 'Ben-Hur.'

Reportedly, though things have not been finalized yet, the 31-year-old 'Boardwalk Empire' star would be joining Morgan Freeman in the cast if the deal works out.

The movie would be helmed by director Timur Bekmambetov on a rewritten script by John Ridley, and filming for the project, which would see Freeman as Ildarin, who teaches Ben-Hur how to race chariots, is set to begin in Europe in 2015.

Ridley, Clarke, Jason F. Brown and Roma Downey would executive produce the film, which is slated for February 2016 release.
