Los Angeles: Actress Melissa McCarthy will play the popular fictional character Tinker Bell from J M Barrie's 1904 play 'Peter Pan' in a new comedy-adventure film.
Shawn Levy is directing the untitled film. The project was hatched with a fresh take on the classic tale by Levy, one that he fleshed out with McCarthy, 44, reported Deadline.
'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' scribe Nicholas Stoller will write the script. Levy will produce through 21 Laps with McCarthy and her On the Day production banner. Fox is the project.
