Los Angeles: Rooney Mara, who starred in director David Fincher's movie adaptation of the best-selling novel 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', says there will no sequel to the film.
The 29-year-old actress starred opposite Daniel Craig in the 2011 film, reported E!Online.
Fincher recently gave fans hope by suggesting the second movie was in the writing stage, but Mara doubts it will ever make it to the big screen.
"I don't think it's going to happen. I'm sad never to do it again, but it just doesn't seem like it's in the cards," she said.
Dragon Tattoo was released four years ago and also starred Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgard.
