Los Angeles: UFC fighter Ronda Rousey will play herself in a big screen adaptation of her life story.

Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights to Rousey's New York Times bestselling autobiography "My Fight/Your Fight", reported Variety.

Mark Bomback has been roped in to adapt the book. Mary Parent is producing the film along with Rousey.

"It's a real honour to be a part of bringing Ronda's incredible story to the big screen," Parent said.

Written by Rousey and her sister Maria Burns Ortiz, "My Fight/Your Fight" is an inspirational story celebrating the accomplishments of Rousey, who faced extraordinary challenges on her path to success.

Rousey, 28, has appeared in "The Expendables 3," "Furious 7" and most recently, "Entourage", where she played herself.

The Olympian will also start filming Pete Berg-directed action pic "Mile 22" in January.
