Rosamund Pike eyed for David Oyelowo starrer `A United Kingdom`

Washington: Rosamund Pike is in negotiations for David Oyelowo starrer ' A United Kingdom.'

The film, which is being financed by Pathe, is based on the true story of Prince Seretse Khama of Botswana, who caused an international stir when he married Ruth Williams, a white woman from London in the 1940's, Deadline.com reported.

Though the deal hasn't been made yet, the 'Gone Girl' star is being eyed for the role of the royal's wife-to-be.

Oyelowo is also producing along with Rick McCallum, Brunson Green, Justin Moore Lewy and Charlie Mason, and the director is yet to be finalized.

Guy Hibbert, who's also exec producing with Pathe's Cameron McCracken, penned the script.
