Los Angeles: Comedy film 'The Interview' starring actors James Franco and Seth Rogen will open in 27 theatres in Canada on January 2.
Sony announced in a statement the movie will hit theatres in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and New Brunswick on Friday, reported Ace Showbiz.
'The Interview', a story about two journalists, who are sent by the CIA to assassinate North Korea's leader Kim Jong-Un, was released in select theatres on Christmas Day and digitally following threat from a group of hackers 'Guardians of Peace'.
The movie earned USD 15 million in online sales and became the best-selling movie on Google Play and YouTube Movies.
