New Delhi: One of the much talked about Dharma ventures, ever since it was announced—'Shuddhi' has finally got its star cast in the face of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. It might come as a surprise to many because initially several names were doing the rounds for Karan Johar's ambitious project.
From Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan to Salman—all were touted to be starring in the project. However, it has now come to light that it is the gen-next stars in Bollywood who will star as leads in 'Shuddhi'. Karan Johar took to Twitter and finally broke the silence on the project.

Earlier, it was almost final that Salman Khan would play the lead, while search was on for the female face opposite him, reportedly. After Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan and now Salman—the film has finally landed in Varun's kitty. Lucky man, we must say!
