'Virgin' word stays in 'Finding Fanny'?

New Delhi: Filmmaker Homi Adjani must be feeling like a relieved man now, after Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) agreed not to cut the word 'virgin' from the movie. According to a leading daily, the CBFC has now cleared its way, as the film is gearing up for release on September 12, 2014.

Earlier reports suggested that CBFC had issues with a line being used in the film, where the lead actress Deepika Padukone says, “I am a virgin”. However, after all the talks, it has now been given a green signal by CBFC Chairperson Leela Samson, reportedly.

On earlier occasion, Dippy darling justifying the dialogue, was quoted as saying that the Censor Board needs to be consistent in their approach. If the word was allowed in the trailer then why not in the film. Looks like the board has actually rectified its error and granted the makers what they wanted.

The decision surely comes as a breath of fresh air for the entire team of 'Finding Fanny'.
