Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were one of Bollywood’s most happening couples once. Sadly, that’s history now. But who said former lovers can’t be friends?
Shahid and Kareena will soon be seen in ‘Udta Punjab’ but interestingly, they don’t share screenspace with each other in the film. Nonetheless, it was the ‘Haider’ star who wanted Karan Johar to convince Kareena to sign the film.
“I was sitting on the film till considering whether I should do it or not when I got a call from Karan (Johar) to sign the film. He said Shahid requested him to call and persuade me as it was a role perfect for me,” DNA quoted Kareena as saying.
The duo has indeed let bygones be bygones.
Shahid is married to an industry outsider – Mira Rajput – while Kareena entered matrimony with Saif Ali Khan.
