Los Angeles: Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has trashed the iconic album of The Beatles, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

The 1967 critically acclaimed record won multiple Grammys and has made it to several best albums of all time list, but for Richards, 71, it is "rubbish", reported Aceshowbiz.
"There's not a lot of roots in that music. I think they got carried away. Why not? If you're the Beatles in the '60s, you just get carried away - you forget what it is you wanted to do," Richards said.

"Some people think it's a genius album, but I think it's a mishmash of rubbish, kind of like 'Satanic Majesties'," he aded.

Richards is currently working on the release his first solo album in 23 years, titled "Crosseyed Heart".
