Los Angeles: Music producer Mark Ronson has dedicated his new album Uptown Special to his late friend Amy Winehouse.

Ronson used his Twitter account to offer an official dedication to Winehouse, with whom he collaborated on the Grammy-winning 2006 album Back to Black, reported Time magazine.

"Although I wish you were still here, I'm always thinking of you, inspired by you and your music lives on in myself and everyone who ever felt it," he wrote.

Ronson also wrote that Uptown Special has also been recorded in tribute to songwriter Teenie Hodges and DJ Mehdi, both of whom have passed away.
Winehouse died in July 2011, after struggling with alcohol abuse prior to her passing.

Ronson's latest album features the producer and Bruno Mars's chart-topping hit 'Uptown Funk'.
