Off to some positive inner engineering with @Sadhguru - I'm reading a book of his called 'Joy 24x7' and it begins itself with one of my favourite quotes of his. I feel the need to share it with you kids. If my words change your life in any way, you must know that his, changed mine. "If you just understand the fact that you're either joyful or miserable only by choice, the question is only whether you make your choices consciously or unconsciously. If you're aware of this, yes, any moment when you understand it is you who is creating misery and not somebody else, you would definitely stop it." - Sadhguru Ah. That, along with Mr. Poop & this gorgeous view. What more does one possibly want from life? Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair, In 77 and 69 revolution was in the air. I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care.. Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair. When the head of state didn't play guitar, not everybody drove a car, When music really mattered & when radio was king, When accountants didn't have control & the media couldn't buy your soul, & computers were still scary and we didn’t know everything. When pop-stars still remained a myth, and ignorance could still be bliss, & when God Saved the Queen she turned a whiter shade of pale. When my mom and dad were in their teens & anarchy was still a dream, And the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail. When record shops were still on top, & vinyl was all that they stocked, & the super info highway was still drifting out in space. Kids were wearing hand me downs, & playing games meant kick around, & footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face.. I was born too late to a world that doesn't care.. Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair. #music #IWishIWasAPunkRocker #SandiThom #sunsetvibes #flowers #takemeback #evolution #unusualgirl #theslowlife #traveldiaries

I clicked this right before I went in for a swim. I thought... how does one gain everyone's attention? Of course, breasts. But this post isn't about sex, or nudity - now that I've got ur attention pls control ur raging hormones for a few more moments. This is about Cancer. October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth. Did you know Breast Cancer is the most common cancer for women in India? In 2012, out of the 144,937 women that were detected with the Cancer, 70,218 died from it. That means 1 out of 2 women that had Breast Cancer didn't survive it. A recent article in #Bloomberg suggests that cultural taboos only exacerbate this problem. Not only are Indian women reluctant to discuss their bodies, but they also delay doctor visits. Due to either poverty or ignorance. Once they're diagnosed with it, no one wants to talk about it. Parents are afraid their daughters won't get married. Who will marry a girl with Breast Cancer, let alone no breasts at all? That's true, I'd imagine. The awful amount of importance & sacredness we've given to a pair of Boobs, while never giving it any medical importance - you'd wonder what use could they possibly be? Breast Feeding? Naaah. To be ogled at by men. After all it is their birth right, isn't it? To stare at ur boobs? Which btw is your fault. You were probably alluring them. I wonder why men don't see flashes of their moms' when they see women in Bikinis? After all, those are the first ones they ever saw. Wait, shame on me for even suggesting it. Mothers are sacred. But girls - ah, as long as she's not your mother/sister/wife - it's just "fun". If she's yours - How Dare She. I know I cant change the world, but ladies, if you're reading this, stop ignoring your own body! Get yourself checked. If you're a man - pls encourage your sisters/friends/mums to go get a check up asap! Talk about it. This isn't something to be ashamed of. Precaution is better than cure. And if you have kids, pls educate them & make them aware of multiple other factors of breasts. If you don't, your son is one day going to be 14 looking at boobs in a porn/magazine & that's all he'll ever know of it - & trust me, he's not the one to be blamed. You are. Educate.
