Johansson, Allen bonded over illness phobia

London: Scarlett Johansson, who has worked with director Woody Allen in two films, says she grew close to him by bonding over their shared phobia of falling ill.

Johannson admits the reason behind their friendship lies in the fact they`re both hypochondriacs, who constantly check each other for various medical ailments, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"He shakes a lot of hands. I`ll squirt some (anti-bacterial gel) in my hand and then squirt in his. The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I`ve diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments. I`ve prescribed things for Woody that he then asked his doctor to prescribe for him," said Johansson.

Allen had directed the actress in ‘Match Point and Scoop’, and in 2008 film ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’.
