Washington: Rihanna was forced to cancel a show in Sweden, after being hospitalised with the flu on Monday night.
The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker was set to perform the latest date on her ‘Loud’ tour in Malmo, but fell ill and was taken to a nearby medical centre.
The singer has been hooked up to an intravenous drip in a bid to replenish fluids, but she uploaded a snap of herself in a hospital bed on her Twitter page and apologised to her fans for cancelling the show.
“I am sorry to everyone who was coming to my show in Malmo. I was so excited to perform for you all,” ,” Contactmusic quoted the Barbadian star as writing.
“It would have been a great time…so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there,” she added.
