The body of a foreign national was on Monday morning found on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road in the national capital. The body was spotted by some people commuting through the road who later informed the police about the same.
Following this, police personnel reached the spot and initiated the proceedings to ascertain the identity of the deceased. It is believed that the deceased was of African origin.
It is yet to be ascertained whether he was murdered or he met with an accident on the road.
After the initial investigation, senior police officials said that there were no injury marks on the body of the deceased. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
The police department is in touch with embassy officials in a bid to ascertain the identity of the man.
