38-year-old Agra woman who suffered 18 miscarriages delivers healthy baby

New Delhi: In what could be called a miracle, a 38-year-old woman from Agra has given birth to a baby boy after suffering 18 miscarriages.

Doctors conducted a laparoscopic surgery on her to hold the foetus in the uterus said that both the mother and son are doing well.

The woman, who hails from Hathigarhi village in Barhan area of Agra, suffered from a medical condition which led to miscarriage in the fifth or sixth month of pregnancy every time she conceived which eventually led to 18 miscarriages.

The doctor duo who operated upon her say that they plan to apply and get the case registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
